Sonia Goyal

Sonia Goyal

Sonia Goyal is a Senior at River Hill High School. Through shadowing various physicians, conducting medical research, and interacting with STEM students around the world, Sonia has developed a strong passion for applying medical science for global health benefit. Being a Girl Scout for 10 years has strengthened her desire to be a helping hand. Sonia was elected to serve as a National Girl Scout Delegate and currently helps form policy for girls nationwide. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys Indian classical dancing, tutoring, and listening to K-Pop music.

Keshav Ganapathy

Bushra Fatima

Bushra is a senior at Mount Hebron High School, where she participates in Model UN, Toastmasters, multiple honors societies, and Cross Country. Outside of school, Bushra interns at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab under the CIRCUIT-ASPIRE program. She is also an avid volunteer and has worked with organizations such as English Kids 2 Kids and the Red Cross. In her free time, you can find her reading, playing guitar and piano, and watching movies.

Sashita Subburaj

Sashita Subburaj

Sashita is a senior at Mount Hebron High School, where she serves as President of FBLA, VP of Brain Bee, Captain of the varsity tennis team, and a member of several honors societies. Outside of Hebron, Sashita interns at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine under the Anesthesiology Department and enjoys volunteering at the Oncology unit at St. Agnes. In her free time, she competes at Bollywood and Bharatanatyam competitions and enjoys tending to her garden.

Keshav Ganapathy

Keshav is a senior at Centennial High School, where he is part of the school's tennis team, computer science club, robotics club, and multiple honor societies. Outside of school, he is a part of APL’s ASPIRE program, a tutor for Teens Give, and is the co-founder of a volunteer organization called WebPoint. In his free time, Keshav competes at hackathons, plays basketball, and listens to music.

Tisha Patel

Tisha Patel

Tisha Patel is a junior at River Hill High School, where she is a part of STEM and Buds, Future Business Leaders of America, Man in the Mirror, several honor societies, and many other activities She is also a part of the school’s research program and her past research includes the regulation of cryptocurrency and the patenting of open-source software. When she is not at school, Patel can be found working at a small Java company as a Junior Java Developer, tutoring at her local Kumon, or privately tutoring kids.

Vikas Reddy

Vikas Reddy

Vikas is a senior at Mt. Hebron High School, where he is the Co-President of the Science Olympiad team and the Vice-President of NHS. He loves computer science and pursues this passion by researching machine learning and developing his Python programming skills. Apart from his academic interests, he competes as a varsity athlete on both the soccer and track team. For fun, Vikas likes to play with LEGOs, hangout with friends, and spend time with his younger brother.

Namitasai Ande

Namitasai is a senior at Mount Hebron High School, where she serves as Co-President of Science Olympiad, President of Brain Bee, and a committed member of several honors societies. Outside of Hebron, Namitasai interns at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health under the Environmental Sciences department as well as runs a volunteering service for local farms in Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, rock climbing, and photography.

Amalie Ludwig

Amalie Ludwig

Amalie Ludwig is a sophomore at Glenelg High School where she is a serving member of the Glenelg Executive SGA Board, a Leadership Officer in Future Health Professionals (HOSA), and an oboist/clarinetist in the GHS Marching and Symphonic Band. As a participant in the Glenelg Independent Research Program, she is pursuing her passion for dermatology by researching acral melanomas. She is a member of the Maryland STEM Festival Ambassador Program where she does volunteer work, and outside of school can be found reading, running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Serena Goyal

Serena is a Sophomore at River Hill High School, where she is an elected Vice President of her school Student Government Association Executive Board. She is also a runner on the school Cross Country team and an active participant in HOSA and FBLA. Outside of school, Serena is a dedicated Girl Scout, Ukulele player, and plant enthusiast. In her free time, Serena hosts her podcast “Out Loud” to provide a platform for youth voice on contemporary issues.

Nellie Jayalatharachchi is a junior at River Hill High school where she is a member of the National Spanish Honors Society, the cheer and softball teams, Freshman Mentor program, Biology club, and class SGA. Outside of school she is captain of an all female robotics team, an ASPIRE intern, and Sources of Strength peer leader. In her free time Nellie loves to dance and hang out with her friends.

Shivani Varia

Shivani Varia

Shivani Varia is a sophomore at Mount Hebron High School, where she is the Secretary of the Science Olympiad Team, as well as the Sophomore Liaison for FBLA. She is also a member of the varsity tennis team. Outside of school, Shivani is the Co-Vice President of WEngineer due to her passion for engineering, along with being a Girl Scout. In her free time, Shivani loves to cook, bake, draw, and play with her dogs.

Ocarina is a junior at Glenelg High School, where she is involved in her class SGA, Key Club, Freshman Mentor program, and Red Cross Club, president of the Biology Olympiad club, and a competitive Public Forum debater of the Speech and Debate Club. Outside of academic interests, Ocarina plays oboe in band and in the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras, tutors elementary and middle school students as part of the Do Re Mi Project, and is a member of the Glenelg ice hockey team. She enjoys drawing and performing community service.

Sanjana Srimath is a junior at Mount Hebron High School, where she is the secretary of Science National Honor Society, vice president of Interact Club, and treasurer of HOSA. She is also an active member of FBLA, Science Olympiad, and the varsity tennis team. Outside of school, she tutors and enjoys volunteering at Saint Agnes Hospital under the Neonatal and Orthopedics Department. In her free time, Sanjana likes to read, spend time with family and friends, and play Veena (an Indian classical instrument), which she performs at various competitions and events.

Krishna Jaladanki

Krishna Jaladanki

Krishna Jaladanki is a junior at River Hill High School, where he is the President/Founder of the River Hill Key Club, a freshman mentor, a member of the soccer team, FBLA, and Biology Club. Outside of school, he is the captain of his club soccer team, and works as a Kumon instructor and soccer referee. Krishna also conducts research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the field of gastrointestinal physiology with emphasis on inflammatory bowel diseases and CRISPR-Cas9 systems. In his free time, Krishna likes investing in stocks, spending time with friends and family, and going to the gym.

Nandini Bhattaram

Nandini Bhattaram is a sophomore at Long Reach High School, where she is a member of the MESA team, a captain of the Science Olympiad team, and the Vice President of the Medical Studies Club. Outside of school, she tutors children in English and Sanskrit and learns Sanskrit through Sanskrit As Foreign Language (SAFL). Nandini loves to travel the world, and in her free time, she likes to dance Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance), play the violin, and spend time with her family.

John Michaels is a junior at Mount Hebron High School, where he is an attorney on the Mock Trial Team, the Vice President of Computer Science Club, an active member of Model United Nations Club, a soccer player, a member of his school’s cybersecurity team, and a member of many honor societies. In his free time, John enjoys volunteering at his local senior living center, playing sports with friends, and tutoring students in STEM-related subjects.
